A
business coach is someone who partners a manager to create a vision, to
clarify goals and to assist in change management. The
process is performed in structured modules of one hour, usually by telephone,
at weekly, fortnightly or monthly intervals. At the conclusion of each
module a written report is prepared and posted on a secure section of
the Computachem website, which can only be accessed by a unique client
password. Timing
of the telephone communication is important and occurs at a time when
the client has minimal distraction. The
initial call starts with the client identifying a specific problem or
process that requires intervention and change. A series of questions are
asked by the coach in the context of the perceived problem: After reaching a tentative conclusion, one final question is asked: "Is
the process really necessary at all?" Decisions
are always made by the client and never by the business coach. Business
coaching is more economical than consulting, generally not involving travel
time and travel expenses, and fully utilises information technology. One session per month...........$180 per session + GST Two sessions per month.........$160 per session + GST Four
sessions per month.........$140 per session + GST The
Computachem coaching style is performed in a stimulating and challenging
manner to achieve motivation. While it may be defined as pragmatic and
using an exception process, the client is not left uncomfortable. Computachem
skill base is rooted in all areas of management and marketing, with a
particular interest in e-commerce, marketing and human resources. Any
prospective client can have a free "try before you buy" session
of 30 minutes. Just write down one issue that may require an intervention, and send brief details by e-mail to neilj@computachem.com.au marking the subject line "Free Trial", plus an appropriate date and time for return communication. At the close of the session we will express a verbal opinion, and follow up with an e-mail giving a considered opinion a day or so later. |
