Locum
work is classified as local or country.
Local work is further defined as being within one hour's driving from
my home, while country work is defined as more than one hours travel
from home.
The hourly rates for local and country work are identical and are listed
below:
Monday
to Saturday
$38.50 per hour +GST
Saturday (after 1.00pm) & Sunday
$60.00 per hour +GST (hourly + 30%)
Public Holiday Rate
$67.76 per hour +GST (hourly + 50%)
Travel
15C per km + GST (TOTAL kms for RETURN trip).
If air travel is necessary, the client will need to pre-pay the flight,
plus provide rental car expenses to Sydney airport (and return), and
from local airport (and return) to local accommodation.
Travel time up to two hours from home is charged at $50 plus km rate,
if you are five hours away, $200 plus km rate.
Accommodation will need to be provided if the client is located in excess
of one hour from home, at client expense. It is requested that self-catering,
motel type accommodation be provided, but I will also house-sit a pharmacist's
private home.
What I am unable to do:

I will not do regular days. I prefer full weeks, however;
* I will take bookings for single days, but only eight weeks in advance.
* I Will not normally do Sunday, as a single day.
* I will not work more than 12 to 15 weeks away from home in any one
year, usually in maximum periods of three weeks each time.
* I will NOT do anything which is contrary
to Pharmacy Regulations, or the ethics of Pharmacy Best Practice.
What
I am able to do:
* I will provide you with a firm written quotation, once your details
are registered.
* I manage your Pharmacy while you are on holiday.
* I can provide a number of references.
* I do not upset your staff, customers or patients.
* I am familiar with the requirements of Quality Care.
(I have attended the Optim Workshop).
* I deal with everything - from the aggressive/difficuft patient, up
to, and including a hold-up, or break-in.
* I deal with staff sicknesses or shortages.
* I do cash, wages, orders, bankings, reps, etc.
* I know Amfac & FRED but I can learn your system.
* I can do the Methadone Program.
* I can do Webster Packs.
* I prefer sit-down, forward pharmacy, but script numbers, and your
set-up, will dictate how much of this I am able to do.
* I will bring to your Pharmacy - Micromedex, PPGuide Electronic, E-MIMS,
AusDi + other references - on a laptop.
* I will care for your computer hardware, software, & networking.
* I am familiar with MYOB. Five years experienced. Now use VIO.5. Fully
familiar with GST capability of MYOB (V1.05) & required procedures/
systems.
* I can use the BasLink feature of MYOB, which links with ATO Electronic
Commerce Interface.
* I can consult with you and your staff on all aspects of MYOB & GST
& ATO interfacing.
* For country (or distant) pharmacies, I will look after your home,
if you wish.
I respect your home. I love cats. I could learn dogs, horses, sheep,
etc.
